"Chef Teri is a new favorite and truly delivered a stellar experience for us!
My husband and I already cook and bake quite a lot, so we asked Chef Teri to help us with items we haven't made before such as homemade pasta and homemade pies. I can now say that I am no longer intimidated by making homemade pasta or pies, and everyone who tried the food we took home said it was insanely delicious and asked for us to make more soon! My son is now addicted to homemade pasta and sauce, it's requested often now, and the family is asking for more cherry pies ASAP
This is one of my favorite things that we have done as a couple. There was no limit to the wealth of information, tips and tricks, and Teri is an absolutely enthusiastic teacher who loves her profession
Unlike other cooking "classes" that you take with 20+ people and don't really master the item, this was an entirely intimate, dedicated attention and hands-on session in a home kitchen.
There are many menu options to choose from, enough that we're planning our next date menu already. This was a lovely experience and we had so much fun.
PS- Make sure you bring LOTS of takehome containers, we had enough for multiple meals."

"Outstanding! Our eleven-year old granddaughter has an interest in becoming a culinary chef, so we thought it would be a great experience to take a cooking class with her. After looking on line at multiple reviews, we selected Teri at Eatsies because she had such high reviews and aimed her classes at young folks. Teri does not disappoint!!
From her beautiful home in La Jolla, in a wonderfully appointed kitchen, that our granddaughter stated is a "dream kitchen," Teri was a fantastic hostess and is an incredible teacher. Safety was first with lesson in cutlery and techniques demonstration. Teri went over the menu our granddaughter was going to prepare, all the while being very engaging and demonstrating great enthusiasm with our granddaughter. Once started, the learning did not stop and through every task in the kitchen, Teri masterfully wove interesting tidbits of information, history of food or unique preparation methods. It was fascinating.
Teri started the young chef off with an appetizer dish preparing fresh humus that turned out delicious. Then she had our granddaughter prepare the pizza dough. Pizza is one of our granddaughters favorite foods, but she actually got a math and biology lesson, too! Teri showed our granddaughter how to make a baked fruit crisp desert that is the best we've ever tasted!! We learned some tricks to making it as well. The Fattoush salad was prepared with some tips on ingredients and presentation. Finally, the dough rose perfectly and we were ready to make our pizzas, which were cooked on the outdoor grill.

I booked a class for my wife's birthday. It was just us two and I highly recommend it! We had a blast with Teri and learned a TON. Learning about cooking was the reason we went, and she did not disappoint in the least. The food tasted great, and I loved the set-up of eating our meals there right when it was ready. We learned a lot of tips and tricks and took home the leftovers.
Do not wait to book a class with Teri! We will definitely do this again. Absolutely worth the value.

I don't even know where to begin. This was most likely one of the best dining experiences of my life! Terri is so sweet and accommodating to all her guest. She provides a fountain of information that is so useful for someone like me who barely knows anything about cooking. You can tell that this is a career she THRIVES in and LOVES. She went through the dinner step, by step and gave so many helpful tips that I will use moving forward in my life, even details such as, how to crush garlic with a knife!
I was celebrating my boyfriends Birthday week and let me tell you, Terri made the whole night special for everyone involved. I could go on for pages and pages and still wouldn't be enough to explain how wonderful this experience was! Her home is so beautiful to eat in and light! If there were more stars available for this review I would totally add it! If you are looking for a fun, delicious, unforgettable way to make food and spend quality time there is only one word I would say: Terri. Go to Terri.

5 stars!! We bought a class from Teri for our dad for christmas. Teri was so sweet on the phone and super accommodating, we knew we had found a match immediately. We showed up with a few bottles of wine to her beautiful kitchen where Teri treated us like family. We got to make one of my all time favorite mystery foods: char siu bao/ steamed pork buns. All of the food we ended up making was so delicious, and she did an incredible job of keeping our noisy group on topic, occupied, working and constantly tasting.
We are all at least fairly experienced cooks and we still walked away with some very valuable new tips. I swear I've told my boyfriend one of them six times but when Teri told him the sky opened up and he'll never forget it. We had an epic 3 hour adventure in Teri's kitchen and I'm sad I can't hang out with her more often. Highly recommended!
I just wanted to tell you what a terrific time I had Tuesday night at your cooking class. You made preparing what I thought was going to be "difficult" or "fancy" food FUN and EASY! I especially appreciated the way you told us in the beginning that we could make no mistakes. I know for me, that put me at ease right away. The way you had us looking at the food at various stages, smelling it and tasting it helped to reinforce the steps so I'll know if I'm on track when recreating the food at home. I'm anxious to do just that!
Your passion for sharing your knowledge and love of food and people truly shines through and I enjoyed meeting you. And, the bonus is that I felt as if I made new friends. It was a fun and memorable evening all around and I'd like to say a BIG THANK YOU for everything.

My 11-year-old and my 14-year-old recently took 2 cooking classes with Chef Teri, each with a small group of their friends, for a total of 4 different classes and 14 different girls. All the girls had a blast, and they came home with the confidence and skills to cook these items for themselves. We’re talking fresh, healthy, delicious, ethnically varied food that you would learn how to make in an adult cooking class. I’m a big fan."

I've taken several classes with friends and have loved them all, but my favorite was the class I just took with my two daughter's as my mother's day gift! "Teri was amazing! She was able to organize our usually chaotic book club of 13 women and carry on a cooking class. We made our own pizza dough that we cooked on the outdoor grill. So delicious and fun for all! She even made a dessert recipe from our book that month; a mouth watering vin cotto over grilled peaches. Thank you Teri for being so patient and gracious and tailoring our class to incorporate the book we were discussing. I also signed my high school son up for a lesson with Teri before he went off to college. He and 3 of his friends enjoyed learning some great kitchen basics and brought home some good recipes. They had a blast! Teri is great with kids as well as groups. "
